John Burke Krasinski (born October 20, 1979) is an American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. He is most widely known for his role as Jim Halpert on the NBC sitcom The Office (2005–2013), for which he received critical acclaim and won a number of awards. He also served as a producer and occasional director of the series.
