Margaret Ann Courtney (16 April 1834 – 12 May 1920) was an English poet and folklorist based in Penzance, Cornwall.
Be kind to thy father, for when thou were young, who loved thee so fondly as he? He caught the first accents that fell from thy tongue, and joined in thy innocent glee.
Be kind to thy sister. Not many may know the depths of true sisterly love.
