Thomas B. Edsall Biography

Thomas Byrne Edsall (born August 22, 1941) is an American journalist and liberal / progressive academic, Joseph Pulitzer II and Edith Pulitzer Moore Professor, Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, 2006–2014; adjunct professor 2014–2017, Columbia University School of Journalism in New York City. He is best known for his weekly opinion column for The New York Times online and for his 25 years covering national politics for the Washington Post.
