Curiosity is its own suicide.
It's difficult to say what's luck and what's not because everything depends on what you learn along the way, and that depends on you as an individual. So I suppose, no, I don't believe in it.
I want, more than anything, to bring some light back to people's lives through my music. The beauty of music is that it is a universal language that everyone understands.
The most important thing for me personally is that I can connect with other people through my music. I want my album to be like a trip that people can take with me. My music is like me stripped naked because I open myself up completely.
It's like the sound of a chuckle in the darkness. The sense that some shattering and disarming simplicity is the real answer.
When you speak a foreign language, you become someone else. If you aren't used to speaking a language, and you start speaking it again, for the first few sentences you'll find yourself in very strange shape, because you're still the person who was speaking the first language. But if you keep speaking that language, you will become the person who corresponds to it.
The Photograph belongs to that class of laminated objects whose two leaves cannot be separated without destroying them both: the windowpane and the landscape, and why not: Good and Evil, desire and its object: dualities we can conceive but not perceive. . . Whatever it grants to vision and whatever its manner, a photograph is always invisible: it is not it that we see.
