Fear makes you docile.
As you step every day and we're going to see challenges, we going to see failures, we should certainly learn from the failures and be gracious with our successes too as well.
Success isn't overnight. It's when everyday you get a little better than the day before. It all adds up.
Wake up determined. Go to bed satisfied.
To some its Hump Day. To us, it's Wednesday's getting its ass kicked and Thursday just asked Friday to switch places.
The wall! Your success is on the other side. Can't jump over it or go around it. You know what to do.
Success at anything will always come down to this: focus & effort. And we control both.
Chaos is more freedom; in fact, total freedom. But no meaning.
I am a big believer that you can have a successful business and give back; it's just about the intention behind starting your business. Of course, your margins aren't going to be as good as they would be if you were just a straight consumer goods fashion company, but obviously the purpose is so much greater. It takes some balancing to figure out how much you can afford to give, but it's definitely possible - and all the more meaningful, if you can strike that balance.
So one of the profound things we found when studying these congregations, the mixed ones, is just how much overlap and interracial ties that develop not only with the people in the congregation, but they start meeting each other's families, and their friends, and they go to each other's neighborhoods if they live in different neighborhoods, and at work they meet people they wouldn't otherwise met, and so it creates a whole new definition of what the group is.
I adore not being me. I'm not very good at being me. That's why I adore acting so much.
