Make few resolutions, but keep them strictly
I suppose the primary intention of a documentary photographer is to document facts. My work often does this but it is not the primary intention. My intention is to make the best pictorial image I can.
It's not my intention to shock, to offend, sensationalise, be political or whatever; only to make work that is as spiritually meaningful as I can make it-whatever the medium.
I paint a little and keep sketchbooks because it has the effect of preventing me becoming lazy about looking. The subject could be anything.
We can't leave people in abject poverty, so we need to raise the standard of living for 80% of the world's people, while bringing it down considerably for the 20% who are destroying our natural resources.
Love is a gift from God, and as we obey His laws and genuinely learn to serve others, we develop God's love in our lives. Love of God is the means of unlocking divine powers which help us to live worthily and to overcome the world.
The Cold War is over. The world has become much more complicated.
Tell yourself right now and throughout today, that it's okay to draw away from the maddening crowd. Jesus did; so can you.
