Considering the way the world is, one happy day is almost a miracle.
In my belief, a harvest is also a legacy, for very often what you reap is, in the way of small miracles, more than you consciously know you have sown.
A critic is a man who expects miracles.
Miracles are like candles lit up until the sun rises, and then blown out. Therefore, I am amused when I hear sects and churches talk about having evidence of Divine authority because they have miracles. Miracles in our time are like candles in the street at midday. We do not want miracles. They are to teach men how to find out truths themselves; and after they have learned this, they no more need them than a well man needs a staff, or a grown-up child needs a walking-stool.
…because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff. ’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’.
You're something between a dream and a miracle.
Live your life. . . as though everything is a miracle.
At the end of the day, you cant have a vision; you have to have a hope. This is where the miracle comes in.
Everybody is in trouble, including the up-and-coming economic miracles of China, Brazil or India.
Your miracles are an inside job. Go there to create the magic that you seek in your life.
The "burning bush" was not a miracle. It was a test. God wanted to find out whether or not Moses could pay attention to something for more than a few minutes. When Moses did, God spoke. The trick is to pay attention to what is going on around you long enough to behold the miracle without falling asleep. There is another world, right here within this one, whenever we pay attention.
Sometimes miracles come in pairs.
But we have received a sign, Edith - a mysterious sign. A miracle has happened on this farm. . . in the middle of the web there were the words 'Some Pig'. . . we have no ordinary pig. " "Well", said Mrs. Zuckerman, "it seems to me you're a little off. It seems to me we have no ordinary spider.
It is absurd to say that the age of miracles is past. It has not yet begun.
Miracles can happen when we can keep our consciousness away from analyzing and classifying one another.
Let's forgive the past and who we were then. Let's embrace the present and who we're capable of becoming. Let's surrender the future and watch miracles unfold.

The miracle of being able to pay attention to other people in your life, and the miracle of being in time, and to continue being in time.
I think there are strands in all of our lives that can be seen if we step back to recognize them. Coincidence is probably as close as I'll get to having spirituality. I do see patterns in my life sometimes, and I am thrilled by what I see. I don't think I'm going to have any further shot at it after death, and I don't think there's anybody upstairs orchestrating it for me, but I do think it happens. If there are miracles in my life, they are rooted in the fact of coincidence.
But Jesus wanted the crowd to know, look, 'John's (the baptist) the one who got this whole thing started. ' In verse ten He says, 'This is the one about whom it is written, 'I'll send my messenger ahead of you who will prepare Your way before You. ' Jesus says, 'If it wasn't for John, I wouldn't even be here performing these miracles. '
