I don't have control over everything; God has control over everything and I trust him, so I don't worry.
You can't be afraid to speak the truth. If you're speaking truthfully - no matter if you're White, Black, Hispanic, Asian - if it's the truth, it's the truth! And if that's what you're telling, you have no reason to be fearful, or, worry about people trying to diffuse what you're doing. Because, if you're speaking the truth, they can't beat the truth.
Fear ringed by doubt is my eternal moon.
Before everything, I used to do this thing when I was upset-I used to take all my feelings and push them down inside me. It was like they were garbage and I was compacting it to get more in. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on philosophers, but they have not been very kind to me. . . I have been variously called nominalist, an instrumentalist, a positivist, a realist, and several other ists. The technique seems refutation by denigration: If you can attach a label to my approach, you don't have to say what is wrong with it. . . I am sure that Einstein, Heisenberg and Dirac didn't worry about whether they were realists or instrumentalists.
I've done quite a few movies, I generally can feel that I'm not right for the role or a general fear if I can pull it off, and him giving that "tag" so to speak gave me the confidence. Like that Miles Davis line, "Don't worry about mistakes, there aren't any. " Once you are the part, you're the guy, so you can't not be the guy because you're it.
Never worry about being obsessive. I like obsessive people. Obsessive people make great art
The man who can put himself in the place of other men, who can understand the workings of their minds, need never worry about what the future has in store for him.
I am a moralist. I worry.
Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. it does not enable us to escape evil. It makes us unfit to face evil when it comes. it is the interest you pay on trouble before it comes.
If I'm happy, I look happy; if I'm angry, I show it. Without worrying about how others may react.
I wonder if we might pledge ourselves to remember what life is really all about—not to be afraid that we're less flashy than the next, not to worry that our influence is not that of a tornado, but rather that of a grain of sand in an oyster! Do we have that kind of patience?
Clearly understand, there isn't any situation that isn't made worse by worry. Worry never solves anything. Worry never prevents anything. Worry never heals anything. Worry serves only one purpose. . . it makes matters worse.
"Do not worry in the least about yourself, leave all worry to God" this appears to be the commandment in all religions.
And if you worry that not finishing the food on your plate is a slap in the face of all the hungry people everywhere, you are not living in reality. The truth is that you either throw the food out or you throw it in, but either way it turns to waste. World hunger will not be solved by finishing the garlic mashed potatoes on your plate.
When I first heard the song Don't worry - be happy I realized it was exactly the kind of mindless philosophy that Americans would respond to. It would make a great national anthem along with Me first.
Or you can stay frigid," says WIll, his green eyes glinting with mischief. "You know. If you want. " Christina throws a roll at him. He catches it and bites it. "Don't be mean to her," she says. "Frigidity is in her nature. Sort of like being a know-it-all is in yours. " "I am not frigid!" I exclaim. "Don't worry about it," says Will. It's endearing. Look you're all red.
