Ali Banisadr Biography

Ali Banisadr is an Iranian-born artist living in New York City. He grew up in Tehran, in Iran. When he was twelve, his family moved to San Diego, in the United States. He moved to New York in 2000, where he studied for a BFA at the School of Visual Arts, and for an MFA at the New York Academy of Art. He works primarily in oil painting, but also does some mixed media work.[citation needed] Banisadr was ranked #1 in Flash Art's Top 100 Artists of 2011.
