Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength. It shows you have the courage to admit when you don't know something, and then allows you to learn something new.

There's a lot of different ways of going about teaching acting and ultimately you have to just kind of create your own. You have to be the author of your own acting school in a way. I mean you can take from this and this and you can watch people and you can watch performances on the stage. You can watch movies. But ultimately you have to figure it out for yourself.
I am interested in the shape of ideas even if I do not believe in them. There is a wonderful sentence in Augustine. . . "Do not despair: one of the thieves was saved; do not presume: one of the thieves was damned. " That sentence had a wonderful shape. It is the shape that matters.
Romance goes like this: Boy gets girl. Boy loses girl. Boy gets girl again. The end. It can't be any other way.
