Power should be a check on power.
It's the nature of man to ask questions. --Belgarath
Once you've decided that something's absolutely true, you've closed your mind on it, and a closed mind doesn't go anywhere. Question everything. That's what education's all about.
We're living in momentous times, Garion. The events of a thousand years and more have all focused on these very days. The world, I'm told, is like that. Centuries pass when nothing happens, and then in a few short years events of such tremendous importance take place that the world is never the same again. " I think that if I had my choice, I'd prefer one of those quiet centuries," Garion said glumly. Oh, no," Silk said, his lips drawing back in a ferretlike grin. Humans are very, very good at shifting blame and avoiding guilt.
We're all going to be victims of temptation at several points in our lives.
Anything would be better in the US than what you have. As a government it's really very low quality, given the fact that this country produces eminent intellectuals, has great universities, and then the people who arrive in government are very mediocre. The Latin American situation has been very different in the first place, because writers have spoken for those who have no voice. The rate of illiteracy, poverty, joblessness in Latin America has been so great throughout our history that if the writers didn't speak out for the people, nobody would.
2-in-1 is a stupid term, because 1 is not big enough to hold 2. That's why 2 was created.
My dad would tell me to, 'Play for those who couldn't play. ' So my motivation is for people who struggle in life daily.
